This month sees the launch of a new kind of User Experience (UX) Consultancy – Ethology. Specialising in crafting insight-led and intuitive customer experiences, Ethology aims to engage audiences, maximise conversions and ultimately drive brand growth for businesses.

Powered by award-winning agency bigdog and part of The Mission, Ethology bridges the gap between specialist UX and full-service creative agencies by offering the flexibility of collaborative consultancy directly with clients or their existing agency partners, as well as a UX-led, full-service delivery through bigdog. The end-to-end offering has additional benefits for clients as it creates cost and time efficiencies and ensures consistency of individuals involved throughout, whilst avoiding the project disconnects that can occur when using multiple supplier partners.

Two of the bigdog’s digital experts, Matt Isherwood and James Matthews, will head up Ethology’s specialist services, taking up the roles of managing partner and principal consultant respectively. As part of the launch, Ethology has also set up new state-of-the-art usability testing facilities, which will benefit both Ethology and bigdog clients.
